MADISON MAY is a pattern maker & creative professional residing in Orlando, Florida. She is currently the Creative Director of CUT/SEW Sewing Patterns, an internationally distributed pattern label serving the cosplay and street fashion communities.She graduated with her BFA in Fashion Design from Pratt Institute in 2014 and went on to work as an independent costume consultant, pattern maker, and dresser for Broadway and off-Broadway productions, Norwegian Cruise Lines, New York Fashion Week, Walt Disney World Resorts, Universal Studios Florida, the Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival, and more.She launched CUT/SEW in 2016 has since grown it into a prominent pattern brand within the cosplay community, with over 60 patterns and international distribution channels in North America, Europe, and Australia.In 2024 she created the CUT/SEW Cosplay Studio, a series of pop-up educational programming at conventions around the country, serving more than 5,000 students as of this writing. She has since gone on to teach everything from beginner sewing and crafting to advanced pattern techniques, and has been invited to teach and lecture at cosplay conventions, retreats, industry events, and more.She can be reached for appearances, interviews, and more via email.
